What happens when one young adventurer with a magic suitcase gets on a bus bound for the seaside and ends up in… Seacroft? Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland have nothing on our hero’s night-time tour of the wild, weird and wonderful folks of East Leeds. Space2 are back with another all-singing, all-dancing, all-falling-about-laughing show, this time set in the ginnels and parks of Seacroft.
‘Oh I Do Like To be Beside the Seacroft’ is an adventure set across one strange night, written by Boff Whalley using stories and histories collected from the folk of Seacroft by Jane Morland. It will be performed and sung by a cast previously hiding their talents around the streets, shops and schools of the area. With live band, dancers, and no doubt a suitably irreverent audience, here’s a musical fairy-tale bringing Leeds to life.
