Recruiting – Project Manager, Time To Change Young People

Hours: 30 hrs per week (4 days)
Salary: £22,045 per annum (£24,000 pro rata)
Funded until: 1 year contract

Description: The Project Manager, Time To Change Young People, will be expected to:
- Support schools/colleges and community groups to develop personalised campaigns and empower staff and young people to run the campaign (modelled on the national Time to Change approach)
- Project Manage the Shout Out programme, delivering a Leeds-based anti-stigma programme targeting 14-24 year olds which aims to improve knowledge and attitudes about mental health
Support young people with personal experience of mental health to contribute to the programme
- Run a city wide campaign for World Mental Health Day
- Contribute where appropriate to anti-stigma elements of training for Emotional Health Champions and anti-stigma section of new mental health curriculum.
The post holder will lead on the coproduction of an integrated package of mental health awareness approaches and tools for delivery in secondary schools, college settings and community groups. Co-produced participation enables genuine collaboration between artist, participant and producer. Each is valued equally within the creative process, and greater ownership of what is created and the message that is delivered.
Space2 has been supporting the Shout Out Group (young people with lived experience of mental health) that contribute to the anti-stigma campaign in the city. The Shout Out Group will be integral to this project. Space2 has good partnerships with the mental health and wellbeing sector in Leeds and is a member of Volition, the voluntary sector mental health alliance.
